NWS Station at KBS - Daily

Minimum and maximum temperature, precipitation, and depth of snow cover are recorded daily from the Gull Lake Biological Station COOP (#203504) National Weather Observatory station.

This datatable is part of the KBS National Weather Service Station dataset. This data set contains information collected from the “Gull Lake Biological Station COOP” (#203504) weather observatory located at the W. K. Kellogg Biological Station. Data is also archived at the national weather service. The station is located at 42 degrees 24 minutes north and 85 degrees 23 minutes west at an elevation of 277.4 meters. Variate Description Units
Year Year in which the date occurs
Date The date represents time intervals from 16:00 thru 16:00 e.g. minimum temperature data for 02-may-1987 is the minimum temperature recorded from 30-apr-1987:16:00 to 01-may-1987:16:00. This date corresponds to date noted at the end of the day interval. (01-may-1987:24:00:00 = 02-may-1987:00:00:00).
Time of Observation approximate time of observation
Temp Max maximum temperature for previous 24 hour period fahrenheit
Temp Min minimum temperature for previous 24 hour period fahrenheit
Temp at Observation temperature at time of observation fahrenheit
Precip Rain precipitation as rain for previous 24 hour period. An 'M' indicates that the rainfall was not measured that day and any rain that is collected is added to the subsequent measurement. inch
Precip Snow precipitation as snow for previous 24 hour period inch
Precip On Ground depth of snow on ground at time of observation inch
Fog occurence of fog for the observation period
Ice Pellets occurence of ice pellets for the observation period
Glaze occurence of glaze (freezing rain) for the observation period
Thunder occurence of thunder for the observation period
