Data in the KBS LTER core database may not be published without written permission of the lead investigator or project director Full terms of use

Fertilizer report for the agronomic treatments. This table aggregates the fertilizer application records from the aglog for the MCSE agronomic treatments.

This datatable is part of the MCSE Model input data dataset.

Consolidated dataset for the ARDEN crop modeling effort. This pulls together several useful data tables into one dataset. Further information can be found at https://agmip.github.io/ARDN/

2025-11-05 T1 R3 T1R3 lime 4491 0 0 0 Spread AG Lime on T1, T2, T3, T4 plots and part of the Lysimeter Field. Most plots were completed on Nov. 5, 2025. Plots T3R2, T3R4, T4R5, and Lysimeter Field had the lime applied on November 6, 2025. Lime application/spreading was completed by Battle Creek Farm Bureau with a John Deere F4365 spreader, picture attached. Ethan Rocklin spent the entire time with Battle Creek Farm Bureau during the lime application making sure they were in the correct plots, answering questions, etc.... Ethan used MSU's 7420a tractor and loader to load the lime from the parking lot in front of the pesticide building at 9693 N 40th St. to Battle Creek Farm Bureau's spreader truck. Rates varied by plot, based on soil test recommendations. Rates varied from 1.5 tons per acre to 3 tons per acre. Lime application rates were as follows: T1R1: 2,951.9 lbs/A (1.475 tons/A), T1R2: 2,956.4 lbs/A (1.4782 tons/A), T1R3: 2,949 lbs/A (1.4745 tons/A), T1R4: 4,390.6 lbs/A (2.1953 tons/A), T1R5: 4,398.6 lbs/A (2.1993 tons/A), T1R6: 5,879.7 lbs/A (2.93985 tons/A). T2R1: 4,402.9 lbs/A (2.201 tons/A), T2R2: 4,389.2 lbs/A (2.1946 tons/A), T2R3: 4,372.2 lbs/A (2.1861 tons/A), T2R4: 4,367.6 lbs/A (2.1838 tons/A), T2R5: 2,907.1 lbs/A (1.45355 tons/A), T2R6: 4,421.3 lbs/A (2.21065 tons/A). T3R1: 2,954.2 lbs/A (1.4771 tons/A), T3R2: 4,462.3 lbs/A (2.23115 tons/A), T3R3: 4,516.1 lbs/A (2.25805 tons/A), T3R4: 4,511.9 lbs/A (2.25595 tons/A), T3R5: 4,366.3 lbs/A (2.18315 tons/A), T3R6: 4,386.7 lbs/A (2.19335 tons/A). T4R1: 2,955.7 lbs/A (1.47785 tons/A), T4R2: 2,958.4 lbs/A (1.4792 tons/A), T4R3: 2,920.8 lbs/A (1.4604 tons/A), T4R4: 2,957.9 lbs/A (1.47895 tons/A), T4R5: 2,921.2 lbs/A (1.4606 tons/A), T4R6: 2,977.1 lbs/A (1.48855 tons/A). Lysimeter Field: The north and east part of the lysimeter field had lime applied at 2,985.6 lbs/A (1.4928 tons/A). See attached map for area lime was applied to the lysimeter field. A corn study with and without starter fertilizer, with two different fertilizer application toolbars that were used to apply nitrogen at side-dress timing at different depths was located in the lysimeter field during the 2025 growing season. At the time of this lime application the previous mentioned corn study was not harvested yet therefore the west side of the lysimeter field and the area within the lysimeter field south of T2R6 plot did not receive any lime in 2025. See attached map for area lime was applied in the lysimeter field for this 2025 lime application. Lime source was Cheney Limestone Co., 9400 Sand Road Bellevue, MI 49021. (269) 763-9541 https://www.cheneylimestone.com/. Battle Creek Farm Bureau organized the trucking of the lime. Lime was trucked in on November 4, 2025. Lime was not rained on between the time it was delivered and the time it was applied to the field. http://aglog.kbs.msu.edu/observations/6804
